Formally trained during the mid 1980s in Adelaide in the arts of Visual Merchandising (VM), Typography, Graphics, Exhibition Design and Colour Theory, Gwynneth Cavilla now combines her pre-computer studies and visual expertise in ways that only a person with hands on practical experience can. Before the event of computer domination she worked with Sportsgirl, Katies and Myer as a fashion window and interior VM.
Moving back home to Perth, Western Australia from the Gold Coast, Queensland in 1992 Gwynneth took up studying at TAFE’s design annex in Subiaco and after two years had completed extensive study in the proficiencies of electronic publishing graduating in 1998 during which time she established gDesign.
Gwynneth’s ability to adapt with the times and continual quest for knowledge has opened many doors as a graphic designer with print bureaus and advertising agencies such as Q Multimedium Ltd, DC Graphix – Orlando, Florida; Workhouse Advertising; Marketforce; MediaHype and 303LOWE Perth.
Gwynneth was nominated and placed as a finalist for Graphic Design at the Belmont Small Business Awards in 2009 and again the following year placing as a finalist in the highly competitive category of Small Business Woman of the Year.
gDesign has allowed Gwynneth to bring all her experience and craftsmanship together allowing her to offer her loyal clients exceptional outcomes in digital print and online website construction and design. Her portfolio includes clients such as: Walt Disney – Orlando; Muzz Buzz; The Bridal Magazine; Menzies Court – Port Bouvard; Home & Style Magazine; The Glory Box; Davey Real Estate; Practical People Solutions; Perth Bridal and Venue Options Magazine; Health on the Move and Hummingbird Interactive – Singapore.
Gwynneth’s greatest pleasure is seeing how proud her clients are of the work they do together. Her plans for gDesign are to keep growing with technology so that gDesign clients continue to enjoy what she delivers best – high end affordable graphic design solutions for print, web, smartphones and tablets.
